Trash Collection

Trash collection day for Montgomery County MUD 24 residents are each Wednesday. Trash must be at the curb in the Waste Management provided 96 gallon carts, by 7:00 a.m. on collection days. Please place carts within 3 feet of the curb, swale or paved surface of a roadway. Pickup on Wednesday shall be limited to the waste cart and not to exceed ten (10) bags or bundles.
Items excluded from normal collection are dirt, rocks, bricks, tile, concrete, auto parts, tires, household hazardous waste (paint, oil, household cleaners), medical or electronic waste, waste generated by a private contractor or any materials or items deemed hazardous materials.

Recycle Collection

Recycle day for Montgomery County MUD 24 are every Wednesday. Recycle must be in the Waste Management provided 96 gallon recycle cart by 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Place the cart within 3 feet of the curb, swale or paved surface. Ensure that you don’t overfill your cart- the lid must close tightly. No overflow allowed. Materials outside of cart will not be collected. Always recycle:

  • Plastic Bottles & Containers
  • Food & Beverage Cans
  • Paper
  • Flattened Cardboard & Paperboard
  • Food & Beverage Cartons
  • Glass Bottles & Containers

Do NOT include:

  • NO Food Waste (Compost Instead)
  • NO Plastic Bags & Film (Find a recycling site at plasticfilmrecycling.org)
  • NO Foam Cups & Containers (Check Earth911.org for options.)
  • NO Needles (Keep medical waste out of recycling. Place in safe disposal containers like Waste Management’s MedWaste Tracker box.)

Yard Waste

Pickup will be every Wednesday and shall be limited to the waste cart and not to exceed ten (10) bags or bundles. Bundles should include no limbs larger that 3 inches in diameter. Cut, bundle and tied at 50lbs maximum weight and 4ft maximum length. Acceptable items include grass clippings, leaves, tree branches (broken into a manageable length), and brush. Non-acceptable items include dirt, stone, concrete or rock.

Bulky Collection

Waste Management provides collection of up to, but not to exceed 10 bulky items on Wednesday of each week. This is an easy and convenient way to dispose of items too big to fit in your curbside container. Acceptable items include sofas, chairs, washers, dryer, toilet, etc. Non-acceptable items include tires, batteries, paints, oils, construction debris, chemicals of any kind, Freon, rocks, sand, gravel, dirt, logs, carpet, hazardous or medical waste.

Holiday Schedule

If your regular trash or recycle collection day falls on a holiday (New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day) the collection will be made on the next day, following the observed holiday.
